Arazzeria Scassa

Founded in 1957 by Ugo Scassa, this tapestry workshop in the former Certosa di Valmanera still weaves by hand on 17th- and 18th-century high-warp looms, turning artists' paintings into wool. Guided visits, by booking only, take about ninety minutes through the looms, works in progress and the family's collection.
