Market days in Monferrato

Almost every town in Monferrato has a weekly market: a morning of produce, cheese, salumi, flowers, clothes and kitchenware spread across the main piazza. Go early for the best of the fruit and veg, and park on the edge of the centre: the stalls fill the main squares.

A monthly organic market in Piazza Maggiorino Ferraris: on the first Saturday morning of each month organic producers bring fruit and vegetables, honey, cereals, wine and cheese, with books and basketwork on the side.

L'Officina delle Memorie — Mercatino dell'Antiquariato di Alessandria

Alessandria's monthly antiques market: on the first Sunday of every month 'L'Officina delle Memorie' lines the arcades of Piazza Garibaldi and Piazza Marconi with antiques, collectables, period furniture, prints, quality vintage, old farm objects and art books.

Mercatino dell'Antiquariato di Moncalvo

Once a month, dealers set up under the arcades of Piazza Carlo Alberto and Piazza Garibaldi with antiques, old prints and Piedmontese bric-a-brac.

Librando — Mercatino del Libro

A monthly book market under the arcades of Corso Bagni — Librando lays out stalls of second-hand and antiquarian books, prints and curiosities for browsers to pick through, one Sunday a month from spring to Christmas.

Market 15121 — Mercato in Cammino

A monthly craft and local-producer market in Piazza Marconi and Via San Lorenzo, every second Saturday from 9:00 to 19:00, run by the association behind the Grande Cammino del Monferrato walking route, with guided walks and talks alongside the stalls.

A monthly Saturday market of organic food, crafts and eco-friendly products in Piazza Statuto, in the centre of Asti, held on the second Saturday of the month from March to December.

Casale's monthly organic market: on the third Saturday, Piazza Mazzini fills with growers of organic and biodiversity produce, artisans and, some months, workshops for children.

Mercatino dell'Antiquariato Nicese

Nizza Monferrato

Every month 350+ vendors fill Nizza's arcaded Piazza Garibaldi with fine antiques, rustic Piedmontese furniture, prints, vinyl and collectibles — a long-running fixture of the town's calendar.

Mercatino degli Sgaientò

Once a month, Corso Bagni and Piazza Italia fill with the Mercatino degli Sgaientò — around 150 stalls of antiques, old furniture, vintage clothes, modernariato and collectibles to pick through, all day.

Asti Antique Market (Mercatino dell'Antiquariato)

On the fourth Sunday of every month up to about 150 dealers and hobbyists set out antiques, second-hand goods and collectibles in Piazza Alfieri, the big arcaded square in the centre of Asti.
