Why it's special
Instead of filling one square, the market takes over the historic centre: farm produce in Piazza Maggiorino Ferraris and Piazza Orto San Pietro, general stalls along Via Garibaldi, Corso Italia and Piazza Italia.

Acqui Terme holds its market twice a week, on Tuesday and Friday mornings, and it doesn't stick to one square. The town's tourist office gives the hours as roughly 08:00 to 13:00.
The farm and fruit-and-vegetable stalls gather in Piazza Maggiorino Ferraris and along Via Maggiorino Ferraris, with more fruit and veg in Piazza Orto San Pietro. The general stalls carry on through Piazza dell'Addolorata, Via Garibaldi, Piazza San Francesco, Corso Italia and Piazza Italia.
Both days use the same layout. The market also goes ahead on public holidays that fall on a market day: the comune kept the Friday market on 1 May 2026, as it did on 8 December 2023.
Acqui has monthly markets too: organic produce at Il Paniere (first Saturday), books at Librando (second Sunday) and antiques at the Mercatino degli Sgaientò (fourth Sunday).
