Six hours of live progressive rock in an Acqui piazza on the last Saturday of August — six bands, three of them fronted by women, free entry, with fassona burgers, ravioli and Sagrin beer to keep you there past midnight.
Why it's special
Progressive rock almost never gets a whole night to itself, least of all in a spa town of 19,000. Acqui Rock Prog books it seriously — six bands, a 1970s poster aesthetic, a proper light and visual show — and Acqui Eventi feeds the crowd so nobody drifts off for dinner.

For one Saturday at the end of August, Acqui Terme hands a whole piazza to progressive rock — the sprawling, unfashionable, gloriously serious kind. Acqui Rock Prog calls it Acqui Prog Night: six bands over roughly six hours, free to walk into, run this year in Piazzale Don Dolermo, a square the organisers hadn't used for a concert before.
The 2026 line-up is Litania, G.O.L.E.M., Expiatoria, Wilson Project, Toliman and Calygo, and half of them are fronted by women — not the usual look for a prog bill, and the organisers say so on purpose. Erik Negro handles the visuals, the graphics lean hard on the 1970s, and the whole thing is lit like it matters.
You won't need dinner first. Acqui Eventi runs the kitchen — ravioli piemontesi, the fried ones too, fassona burgers, farinata, a fry of squid — with Birrificio Sagrin's beers from Calamandrana on tap, Lungorba gelato after, and a cocktail bar.
