Agrifiera Polli e Buoi dei Paesi Tuoi
Tonco's one-day farm fair on the third Sunday of September: free guided visits to the village's farms and livestock, vintage cars and tractors, a market of local products, pony rides, children's workshops and the Pro Loco kitchen.
Why it's special
It is the village's own farming put on show: Tonco's naked-neck chickens, Piemontese cattle and the horses of the local riding club, with free shuttles out to the farms that raise them. Around that you get the country fair: vintage tractors, a market of local products, old-fashioned games and the election of Miss and Mister Agricoltura.

Organised by the comune with the Pro Loco, across the squares and streets of the centre all day.
- The farm visits start at 14:00 and are free, with a shuttle bus.
- Sign up at the info point in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II.
- The Pro Loco food stand in Piazza Beretta opens at 12:00 and again at 19:30.

On the third Sunday of September Tonco gives its whole centre over to farming. The Agrifiera "Polli e Buoi dei Paesi Tuoi" is run by the comune with the Pro Loco, and the name says it: chickens and oxen from your own villages. Tonco's naked-neck hens, Piemontese cattle and riding-club horses are the stars, and in the afternoon free shuttles take visitors out to the farms that raise them.
Back in the squares it's a country fair. There are vintage cars, motorbikes and tractors next to the new machinery, a market of local products, pony rides, a painting show and old-fashioned games for children, with the Pro Loco cooking at lunch and again in the evening. The park of Villa Toso hosts the opening and a small fashion talk, and the day closes with a concert and the crowning of Miss and Mister Agricoltura.
It's a local day out more than a visitor festival, and that's why it works. Come after lunch for the farm visits. The year's programme is above.
