AstiMusica

Asti's summer music festival: for two or three weeks every July a big open-air stage in Piazza Alfieri hosts evening concerts by Italian and international artists, plus a few comedy and spoken-word nights.

Why it's special

AstiMusica reached its 29th edition in 2026 and brings arena-sized names into the centre of a medieval town. For most of its life it was held in the smaller Piazza Cattedrale; in 2024 it moved to the much larger Piazza Alfieri, and the 2026 bill ran from Il Volo, Anastacia and OneRepublic to Litfiba, Pooh, Fiorella Mannoia, Giorgia and Morrissey.

  • The festival is promoted by the Comune di Asti; the programme and ticket links are on astimusica.it.
  • In 2026 the Fuori Festival at the Diavolo Rosso ran alongside it with free talks and live music every evening.

AstiMusica is the city's summer festival, a run of open-air evening shows each July on a stage built in Piazza Alfieri. 2026 was its 29th edition. For most of that time it was held in the square in front of the cathedral, until in 2024 it moved to Piazza Alfieri, which holds a far bigger crowd. That first year in the new square had Massimo Cotto as artistic director; the Fuori Festival is now dedicated to him.

The line-up mixes big Italian names, international acts and a few nights of comedy or spoken word. In 2026 it ran over fourteen evenings, with Il Volo, Anastacia, OneRepublic, Litfiba, Salmo, Pooh, Fiorella Mannoia, Giorgia, Bluvertigo, Stefano Nazzi's 'Indagini' and Morrissey, plus comedians Enrico Brignano and Paolo Ruffini and a free 1990s party. Alongside it, the Fuori Festival at the Diavolo Rosso added talks and free live music.

Shows usually start at 21:00 and each is ticketed separately. The first name for 2027 is already out: Sting, on 4 July. See what else is on in Asti.
