The Pro Loco di Calosso's traditional early-summer evening walk: about 7 km through the Moscato d'Asti vineyards, farmsteads and woods around Calosso, ending with dinner at the La Canova farm and winery.
Why it's special
It's an easy way into the UNESCO vineyard landscape with people who live in it. You set off in the late afternoon from the village square, walk the ridges and hollows between the vines for two hours or so, and sit down to dinner at a family winery as evening comes. It has been running for more than thirty years.

Cammina Cammina is the Pro Loco di Calosso's summer walk, billed as an 'eno-eco-gastronomic' stroll. Walkers meet in the late afternoon at the Salone Don Monticone on Piazza Sant'Alessandro, then head out into the hills of Moscato d'Asti for about 7 km of vineyards, farmsteads and woods. These are UNESCO-listed vineyard hills, part of the Langhe-Roero and Monferrato wine landscape. The walk ends at La Canova, the Barbero family's farm and winery, where dinner is served.
It's a sociable, unhurried evening rather than a hike, and children come along at a reduced price. Book through the Pro Loco a few days before. See what else is on in Calosso.
