Carnevale di Incisa Scapaccino
Incisa Scapaccino's carnival afternoon: the Pro Loco Incisa 1514 hands out chiacchiere and other carnival sweets under the Foro Boario on Piazza Ferraro, with games and pignatte for children run by the parish youth group.
Why it's special
It's a small village carnival, free and aimed at children and their parents. Come in costume, eat the fried chiacchiere the Pro Loco gives out, and watch the children break the pignatte.

Carnival in Incisa Scapaccino is a single afternoon under the Foro Boario, the covered market hall on Piazza Ferraro. The Pro Loco Incisa 1514 organises it with the comune's backing and gives out chiacchiere, the thin fried pastry strips dusted with sugar that every Piedmontese bakery sells at Carnevale, along with other treats.
The young people of the parish run the games and the pignatte, hanging pots full of sweets that the children take turns to break open. Children are welcome in costume. It is a small, free village event, worth a stop for families staying nearby at Carnevale time.
