A summer season of ten evenings of amateur theatre by companies from the Asti area, mostly comedies, staged in Asti's social clubs, a village square and an estate in Mongardino, with free entry and a collection.

It's village theatre in the best sense: local companies, some of them playing in Piedmontese, putting on comedies and readings in the clubs of Asti's neighbourhoods, a frazione church square and a country estate on summer evenings, for whoever turns up.

In summer 2026 the amateur theatre groups of the Asti area got together for a season of shows under one name, organised by their network, the Rete del Teatro Amatoriale Astigiano. Ten companies each played one evening between mid-June and late August. Most of the shows were comedies, with a Dante parody, a mystery, a kidnapped queen and a family inheritance among the plots, alongside an evening of letters and readings.
The settings are part of the charm: neighbourhood social clubs in Asti, such as the Circolo Fernanda Cane in San Fedele and the Nuovo Circolo Nosenzo, the church square of the frazione of Mombarone, the Battuti Bianchi confraternity in Castagnole delle Lanze, and the Tenuta La Gavazza estate in Mongardino.
