Festa Patronale di San Lazé e Sagra della Focaccina di Ovrano
Ovrano's summer patronal feast for Saints Nazario and Celso: three July evenings of the frazione's own focaccina, local wine and live music, run by the Pro Loco di Ovrano.
Why it's special
The Focaccina di Ovrano was the first De.Co. (municipal designation of origin) awarded by Acqui Terme, and this is the place to eat it hot from the oven, filled with salumi, Roccaverano DOP robiola or Nutella.

Every July the hill frazione of Ovrano, just above Acqui Terme, celebrates its patron saints Nazario and Celso, known locally as San Lazé. The Pro Loco di Ovrano runs it as three evenings of food, wine and live music, built around the frazione's own speciality: the focaccina di Ovrano, which in 2023 became the first product to get Acqui Terme's De.Co. municipal designation.
Expect focaccine filled with salumi, Roccaverano DOP goat's cheese or Nutella, local wines and craft beer, and live music each night. It's a village feast first, relaxed and family-friendly.
The same Pro Loco runs a full calendar through the year, including the Bagna Càuda della Pro Loco di Ovrano in November.
