Fiera d'Autunno

Asti's autumn fair, one of the three seasonal fairs the city holds every year: on the second Sunday of October around 450 stalls of food and general goods line Piazza Alfieri and the streets around it.

Why it's special

It's a traditional town fair rather than a themed festival, the autumn counterpart of the Fiera di Primavera in April and the big Fiera Carolingia in May. For a day the centre of Asti is one long street market, with market traders and farmers selling food and all sorts of other goods.

Sunday 11 October 2026

Fiera d'Autunno, food and non-food stalls (about 450 pitches) in Piazza Alfieri and the neighbouring streets.

A tip
  • The fair takes over Piazza Alfieri and the streets leading off it.
  • It's run by the Comune di Asti, with stalls managed by the Procom consortium (+39 0131 232623).

Asti holds three seasonal town fairs a year in its historic centre, all run by the Comune. The Fiera di Primavera comes on the first Sunday of April (moved when it falls on Easter), the Fiera Carolingia on the first working Wednesday of May after the feast of San Secondo, the city's patron saint, and the Fiera d'Autunno on the second Sunday of October.

The autumn fair is a classic Italian street fair: about 450 stalls of food and non-food goods fill Piazza Alfieri and the streets around it. It's a day out for the whole town rather than a tourist event, and a good excuse for a walk through the centre on a Sunday in October. See what else is on in Asti.
