Oro Bianco
A white-wine event in the Castello di Costigliole given over to Chardonnay and Moscato d'Asti DOCG — over 100 producers, masterclasses and tastings in the castle rooms and towers, with Champagne as the guest of honour.
Why it's special
The Astigiano is red-wine country, so a weekend built entirely around its whites — Chardonnay and Moscato — is a deliberate case being made, and it's made inside the castle rather than a tent, tastings running right up into one of the towers.
Programme · 2026
First edition, at the Castello di Costigliole d'Asti. Over 100 wineries pouring more than 200 wines, built around Chardonnay and Moscato d'Asti DOCG, with Champagne as the guest wine. Guided tastings and masterclasses across the weekend
- It's inside the Castello di Costigliole; tickets and masterclass places go through orobiancowine.it.
- Look for the Torre del Gusto, a tasting set up in one of the castle towers.
Barbera is the name everyone drops around Costigliole d'Asti, which is exactly why Oro Bianco is interesting: a whole weekend inside the castle handed to the whites instead. The wines in question are Chardonnay and Moscato d'Asti DOCG, poured by more than a hundred producers, with Champagne invited along as the guest of honour.
It runs through the rooms of the Castello di Costigliole — the same building that houses the ICIF cooking school — with masterclasses, guided tastings, and a sensory tasting the organisers set up in one of the towers, the Torre del Gusto. First edition in 2026, so it's finding its feet, but the setting does a lot of the work.
Tickets and masterclass places go through orobiancowine.it. Dates above.
