Sagra della Porchetta – Festa Patronale di Tuffo
The patronal feast of the Madonna del Carmine in Tuffo, a hamlet of Cocconato: three or four July evenings of spit-roast porchetta and agnolotti from the Circolo THOU's food stand, live music and dancing, a funfair every night, and a procession a few days later.
Why it's special
A hamlet festa run by its own circolo. The porchetta turns on the spit, there are agnolotti and antipasti, a rock cover band one night and a DJ the next, and on the closing Monday every funfair ride costs €1. It goes ahead whatever the weather.

Tuffo is a hamlet of Cocconato and one of the borghi that run in the town's Palio degli Asini. Its patron is the Madonna del Carmine, and each July the Circolo Ricreativo THOU throws the hamlet's festa around her feast day. The food stand serves antipasti, agnolotti and desserts, but the porchetta roasting on the spit is what the sagra is named after. After dinner there's live music or a DJ, a cocktail bar and craft beer, and a small funfair that runs every night.
The religious side comes on 16 July itself, with an evening Mass in Tuffo's church, a procession through the hamlet and a drink at the circolo afterwards. See what else is on in Cocconato.
