Suol d'Aleramo
Grazzano Badoglio's own summer sagra: three evenings in Piazza Cotti with the Pro Loco kitchen, dancing, and a night of local theatre, named for Aleramo — the marquis whose abbey stands up the hill.
Why it's special
It's the village's big night out, run entirely by the Pro Loco: agnolotti al plin and Monferrina sausage under the plane trees, a Pooh tribute or a disco-latino evening, and the local company I Via Vai putting on a comedy in dialect. No admission, no fuss — just Grazzano feeding its neighbours.

Every July Grazzano Badoglio turns Piazza Cotti into a kitchen and a dance floor for three evenings running. Suol d'Aleramo is the Pro Loco's festival, and it has the unhurried feel of a village doing what it does best — long tables, plates of agnolotti al plin and Monferrina sausage, a glass of the neighbours' Barbera, and a band that keeps going late.
The name tips its hat to Aleramo, the 10th-century marquis whose abbey — now the parish church of Santi Vittore e Corona, with his tomb and a Romanesque cloister — sits at the top of the village. The festival itself is pure Monferrato present tense: a tribute concert one night, a disco-latino evening the next, and, when the Pro Loco's own company I Via Vai are on form, a comedy in dialect to close things out.
It's free to wander in, the cooking is all volunteer, and the children's corner keeps the little ones busy while the grown-ups eat. Bring cash. Check the year's exact dates with the Pro Loco — they're above.
