Teatro e Colline — Alfieri nel Borgo Unesco
A theatre-and-landscape festival in the UNESCO hill-borgo of Calamandrana Alta, where shows, walking performances, installations, workshops and encounters play out in courtyards, churches, gardens and a new open-air amphitheatre.

Second edition since the festival's revival. Preview on Friday 17 July at 21:30 in the Cortile di Ca 'd Pierina: 'Rette parallele sono l'amore e la morte' by and with Oscar De Summa, followed by a conversation with physicist Dario Menasce and poet Francesco Occhetto. Main festival Friday 24 to Sunday 26 July. Fri 24 July: 21:00 opening in the Cortile di Ca 'd Carolina, 22:00 'A pelle nuda sul palco' with Lucilla Giagnoni (Shakespeare). Sat 25 July: 17:00 community-theatre workshop finale; 18:30 'Tempeste. L'ulivo, il vino, le pietre', a walking performance by O Thiasos Teatro Natura through the UNESCO borgo; 21:30 'Lavia dice Leopardi' with Gabriele Lavia, inaugurating the new amphitheatre in the landscape. Teatro e Colline — Alfieri nel Borgo Unesco is a theatre-and-landscape festival set in the Borgo Antico of Calamandrana Alta, the medieval upper town on the UNESCO vineyard hills above the Belbo valley. The Comune di Calamandrana runs it, with Massimo Barbero of Casa degli Alfieri directing, and it spreads shows, talks, workshops, installations and walking performances across the borgo's courtyards, churches, little squares, gardens and a newly built open-air amphitheatre in the landscape.
The programme sets headline names of Italian theatre — in 2026, Gabriele Lavia, Lucilla Giagnoni and Oscar De Summa — against site-specific pieces that walk the audience through the old town and its vineyards, plus community-theatre projects. Tickets run roughly €10–€20 through visitlmr.it and at the door; the box office is at Casa nel Borgo.
