Vendemmia in Arte
Rosignano's harvest festa turns the hilltop lanes into an open-air gallery — wine and food tastings, art and photography shows, music and evening visits down into the infernot — on the first Sunday of October.
Why it's special
It weds the two things Rosignano is known for: the vendemmia and its painters. The streets fill with tasting stands and art at once, and after dark the town opens its UNESCO infernot — the stone-carved cellars under the houses — for candlelit 'Infernotte' visits.

- Save energy for the evening 'Infernotte', when they open the infernot cellars carved into the Pietra da Cantoni; those visits are the thing you can't do the rest of the year.
On the first Sunday of October, Rosignano Monferrato throws its harvest party and its art show at the same time. Vendemmia in Arte fills the hilltop lanes with tasting stands, food, music and craft — and, threaded through it all, paintings, photography and performance, because Rosignano has always been a village of painters as much as growers.
The daytime belongs to the festa: a glass of the new wine, a plate from the stands, art in the courtyards and squares around Piazza Sant'Antonio. Then the light goes and the town opens its infernot — the cellars hand-cut into the soft Pietra da Cantoni stone beneath the houses, part of the UNESCO vineyard-landscape — for the candlelit "Infernotte" visits that give the evening its pull.
It lands on the first Sunday of October, with a Saturday Anteprima of exhibition openings and talks at the Teatro Ideal and the Saloni Morano; the comune posts the year's programme on its calendar a couple of weeks out. On the day a free shuttle runs up from the valley car park, which saves the climb.
