Vertigo Summer Festival Cocconato
An international festival of contemporary circus and street theatre that fills Cocconato's piazzas and courtyards for a long weekend in July, with dozens of free shows, all booked in advance.
Why it's special
Acrobats, clowns, aerialists and jugglers in the old village's courtyards and squares, organised by blucinQue Nice with the Fondazione Cirko Vertigo. The 2025 first edition opened with the tightrope walker Andrea Loreni crossing 80 metres of wire 20 metres above Piazza Giordano.

2nd edition: more than 50 shows and repeats of contemporary circus and street theatre across the historic centre, in Piazzale Cavalier Monchietto, Piazza Giordano, Via Roma, and the Cortile Locanda Martelletti, Cortile Ferrero, Cortile del Parroco and Cortile del Municipio. Organised by blucinQue Nice with the Fondazione Cirko Vertigo; patron Alberto Marchetti.

Since 2025 Cocconato has spent a long weekend each July as a circus town. The Vertigo Summer Festival is organised by the national production centre blucinQue Nice with the Fondazione Cirko Vertigo. Shows run all afternoon and evening in the piazzas, the old courtyards and along Via Roma: aerial acts, clowns, physical theatre, street music. The 2025 edition opened with a tightrope walk high above Piazza Giordano.
