Le Rocche d'Ovrano

Up in the hamlet of Ovrano, on the hills above Acqui Terme, the same family has worked these vines across four generations. It's a small cantina — the sort where whoever answers the phone is also the one who pruned the rows that morning.

The range is honest Alto Monferrato: Barbera for weight, Dolcetto and Freisa for the everyday table, Grignolino when you want something lighter and lightly tannic, plus a Moscato and a Cortese white.
