Michele Chiarlo is one of Piedmont's benchmark wineries, founded in 1956 and still family-run, with its cellars on the Nizza–Canelli road in Calamandrana. It works only native grapes across the region's leading crus — Barolo (Cerequio, Cannubi), Barbaresco (Asili), the estate's "La Court" Nizza DOCG, Gavi and the gently sweet Moscato d'Asti "Nivole".
The estate is set up for visitors, with guided cellar tours and tastings (including food-pairing formats) bookable online in Italian and English. It also runs the open-air La Court art park among the vines and the Palás Cerequio wine resort in the Langhe.
