Pavia Giorgio is a small grower's cellar in the hills north-east of Calosso's centre. It has no website or online shop, so the wines are known mainly from their labels: a Barbera d'Asti, a second Barbera d'Asti named after Rodotiglia, one of Calosso's localities, and two reds called 'Lampia' and 'Il Monello'.
Google reviewers describe a well-stocked cellar where the owner pours the wines, talks about the farm and the work, and sells bottles to take home. No opening hours are posted, so phone before you go. At the Fiera del Rapulé in October, Pavia Giorgio's wines are poured at the Palazzo del Teatro.
