Tenuta dei Fiori is Valter Bosticardo's organic estate in Rodotiglia, the hamlet on the Valcalosso road north-east of Calosso's centre. It's a restored 1860 farmhouse with five hectares of vines around it, and Valter, an oenologist, personally oversees every stage from vineyard to bottle. The vines include Barbera more than 80 years old, Moscato, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. He also replanted Gamba di Pernice, the local grape that had almost disappeared, and bottles it as Calosso DOC under the name 'Gambadipernice'. Barbera is the main wine, in several versions: 'Rusticardi', 'R3' and 'Tulipano Nero'. 'Cinquefile' blends Barbera with Cabernet Sauvignon as a Monferrato Rosso and is the best rated of his wines on Vivino.
The farm is also a B&B, with three double rooms and two attic apartments, named after its grapes and wines, plus a pool. Valter and his Swiss wife Yvette run guided tastings with a tour of the cellar, and Valter speaks Italian, English, French and German. Contact them through the website or by phone to arrange a visit. At the 2026 Fiera del Rapulé, Tenuta dei Fiori poured in the Cortile Olmi.
