Three generations work the vineyards up at Bricco Lu, and a visit here tends to end with Sergio's father pouring and Bruna's vino cotto next to a wedge of fresh tomino. The range is wide for a small estate — Barbera d'Asti (the 'Ciabot d'la Mandorla' and its Superiore), Grignolino, Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, Brachetto, plus Moscato d'Asti and the 'Elena' Metodo Classico.
They run cellar tours and tastings, and in summer they lay on dinners out among the vines — book ahead, and don't be in a hurry on those long evenings, because the courses take their time. Their Moscato d'Asti has a following well beyond the hill; regulars stock up each year at the Alba truffle fair.
