Small, family-run, and the kind of cellar where Teo and Simona let you taste your way through most of what they make. The reds are the draw — Barbera d'Asti 'Helianthus', the Superiore 'Vigna del Mor', a Barbera del Monferrato 'Achenio', Grignolino, Dolcetto — with a Chardonnay and the 'Clarine' white for the table, plus a Brut called 'Puro'.
The tasting is a straightforward hour and a half: a walk through the rows, a look in the cellar, five wines with salumi and cheese, twenty euro a head and kids free with a juice. There are two slots, mid-afternoon or early evening, ten people at most — call Simona to book. Some regulars have been coming back since the 1970s, which tells you plenty.
