Renato and Alina work fifteen hectares above Grazzano Badoglio, four generations deep, and they'll likely pour the Chardonnay first — it's the one guests keep writing home about, alongside the 'Monte Cuchetto' Barbera d'Asti and a Grignolino called Casaletto. There's Sauvignon too, a Malvasia passito, and two sparkling wines made the long way from Pinot Nero and Chardonnay.
Book a tasting and you'll often get Alina herself, a board of prosciutto and cheese, and the view off the balcony that people rank among the best in Monferrato. You can stay the night as well — there's a room, and famously a barrel you can sleep inside. English is fine, the value is hard to beat, and nobody leaves with an empty boot.
