Armando Piana runs this place the way you'd hope — vineyard picnics, a merenda sinoira in the late afternoon, meat grilled among the rows, and in November a bagna càuda that regulars drive up from Milan for. The wines are honest Monferrato: a Barbera d'Asti Superiore and a Moscato d'Asti worth the trip, with the farm's own honey and vinegar on the same table.
It's a family operation out in the Casalotto frazione — kids, dogs, the harvest-day grape pressing — so book ahead and come hungry rather than in a hurry. Since 2024 there's an eco-park of pollinator plants strung between the vines if you want to walk off lunch.
