La Mondianese is a small family winery set among 7.5 hectares of vineyards on the hills between Montemagno and Castagnole Monferrato, at the heart of the tiny Ruché di Castagnole Monferrato DOCG zone. A restored nineteenth-century farmhouse has been paired with a modern cellar and a barrel room dug into the hillside, and the estate's guiding thread is a love for Ruché — the rare, perfumed local red — which it bottles as the fragrant Oniro and the oak-aged Riserva L'inizio.

Alongside Ruché the estate grows Barbera (including a Superiore, La Donnamora), Grignolino, and international and white varieties that go into its Monferrato DOC blends and whites. Cellar visits with guided tastings are offered by appointment, typically at 10:30 and 15:30, in Italian and English, and there is an on-site shop and agriturismo. Book through the winery's visits page or by phone.
