Agricola Isabella is a family winery in the hills of Murisengo, in the Grignolino heartland of Monferrato Casalese, where Athos and his family farm vineyards on the zone's pale, gypsum- and marl-rich soils. They work organically and favour low-intervention cellar work — spontaneous fermentations and little else — across a small range built on native grapes: the Baratuciat white Sant'Eusebio, the Grignolino Montecastello, the Freisa Custèra, the Barbera Truccone and the Rosathos rosé.
Visitors are welcomed for tastings in the estate's Bacco e Tabacco room, alongside a historic infernot cellar cut into the hillside and the Canonica di Corteranzo farm stay. It's best reached by arranging a visit ahead.
