Cascina Collina belongs to Hilde and Stein, a Norwegian couple who settled in Piedmont and now make their wine in an on-site cellar they built in 2016. It's small — around two hectares split between the Squarza and Villalta crus — and out of it come a Nizza DOCG, a Barbera d'Asti, a Chardonnay and a rosato.
You can taste at the estate's tasting house, and if you want to stay there are rental apartments. It's a personal set-up rather than a production line, and you'll feel that when you're poured a glass.
