The Bianco family has been tending vines for five generations, up on the hills where the Langa Astigiana leans into Monferrato. Since 2024 the day-to-day has passed to the younger pair, Andrea and Simone, working around twenty-five hectares that sit entirely inside DOC and DOCG boundaries โ which is another way of saying they've kept the good ground and planted it to the grapes that belong here.
The range runs wide for an estate this size: Barbera d'Asti and Moscato d'Asti at the DOCG top, then Dolcetto and Nebbiolo under the Monferrato DOC, and a trio of Piemonte whites and lighter reds โ Grignolino, Chardonnay, Cortese. They'll open the cellar for a tasting if you ask, and the family works in both Italian and English; a call ahead on +39 345 210 7672 is the surest way in, since the hours on the door are broad but the people are out in the vineyard as often as not.
