The Buzios have been on this hill in via Piave since 1860, and these days it's brothers Marco and Andrea keeping it going — organic, unhurried, and unapologetically loyal to Grignolino. That's the wine to ask for: the local pale red, made with real care and poured down in the infernot with a plate of salami and whatever the family feels like opening. Barbera turns up too, in the everyday bottle and a Superiore they call Riccardo II, along with Freisa, the Albarossa 'Al Barbacarlo' and a Chardonnay-based white.
Arrive near closing and they'll still take you down to the cellar — people have a way of leaving two hours later with more bottles than they came for. There are vineyard picnics in the warm months and truffle walks in autumn, and they'll happily guide you in English. Call first on +39 338 930 6755; the welcome is really the point of the visit.
