Completed by the Troya banking family in the 13th century, this 44-metre tower on Piazza Medici can be climbed: 199 steps lead to the battlements and a wide view over Asti's rooftops, with a bell cast in 1531 overhead. It closes November to March; tickets are sold at Palazzo Mazzetti.
