Museo Civico e Gipsoteca Leonardo Bistolfi

Set in the old Augustinian convent of Santa Croce, this civic museum fills two dozen rooms: a picture gallery of Piedmontese art from the 15th century on, and the standout gipsoteca of plaster casts by local sculptor Leonardo Bistolfi. Carlo Vidua's souvenirs from a life of travel round it off, and the staff know the collection well — give it an hour and a half.
