A rare chance to spend a summer night at a benchmark Nizza DOCG estate rather than just taste at the cellar door — the Pavia/Angeli family throws open the courtyard for food, its own Barbera and dancing until the small hours.

The 11th edition of the estate's summer party, 18:30–01:30 across the Friday night into Saturday. An open-courtyard evening of food stands, the Barbatella wines and live music/DJ sets in the vineyard setting.

Once a year the team at Cascina la Barbatella turns its estate above Nizza Monferrato into a party. Barbatellando the Party is a summer evening in the vineyards — food stands, the estate's own Nizza DOCG and Barbera d'Asti poured by the glass, and live music and DJ sets that run from the early evening well into the small hours.
It's a different way to meet one of the zone's landmark Barbera houses: instead of a daytime cellar tasting, you get the courtyard, the hills and a crowd of locals. The estate sits a few minutes outside town on Strada Annunziata, so drive out; the winery takes bookings by phone and email, and each year's flyer (linked from the event page) carries the line-up.
