Carnevale della Pro Cocco (Cocconato)
Cocconato's carnival Sunday, run by the Pro Loco 'Pro Cocco' in the Cortile del Collegio: polenta with sausage or gorgonzola at a few euros a plate from 12:30, then games, entertainment and a snack for the children.
Why it's special
A cheap, cheerful village carnival lunch in the old college courtyard in the middle of the borgo, with the afternoon given over to children in costume.

For carnival the Pro Loco of Cocconato, the "Pro Cocco", sets up in the Cortile del Collegio, the courtyard of the old college in the centre of the borgo. Lunch is polenta, with sausage or with gorgonzola, at a few euros a plate, and once it's eaten the afternoon belongs to the children: games, entertainment and a snack, best enjoyed in costume.
The hamlet of Tuffo holds its own carnival at the Circolo Ricreativo THOU in the same weeks (2 March 2025, a children's 'Carnivalkids'; 1 March 2026), and the same circolo serves its Cena degli Agnolotti in late winter.
