Festa Patronale di San Bernardo (Montechiaro d'Asti)
Montechiaro d'Asti's feast of its patron San Bernardo da Mentone: three evenings at the end of August with the Pro Loco's food, dance music under the stars and some cultural events.
Why it's special
The village's own late-summer festa, run by its Pro Loco, a couple of weeks before Montechiaro's cooks head to Asti for the Festival delle Sagre.

Montechiaro d'Asti's patron is San Bernardo da Mentone, the saint of the Great St Bernard pass, and the village celebrates him at the end of August. The Pro Loco runs three evenings of food and dancing, with some cultural events alongside.
A couple of weeks later the Pro Loco cooks at Asti's Festival delle Sagre, where Montechiaro has taken part since the first edition in 1974. In July the same Pro Loco holds its Sagra del Vitello.
