Giro del Nizza
Two spring Sundays when the cellars of the Nizza DOCG zone throw open their doors and you drive the ridge roads from producer to producer, tasting Nizza and Nizza Riserva at the source.
Why it's special
No festival tent, no crowded piazza — you're out in the vineyards, in the actual working cantinas, pouring with the people who made the wine. It's the appellation spread across its own hills, the way it's meant to be met.
Programme · 2026

- You need a car and a designated driver — the whole point is roaming the hills between cellars.
- Pick up the map and tasting pass from the Enoteca Regionale di Nizza on Via Crova (tel.

- Full details and the year's participating producers at girodelnizza.it.
For two Sundays in spring the Nizza DOCG cellars unlock and you go to the wine rather than the other way round. You collect a tasting pass in town, then drive the ridge roads out into the hills, stopping wherever a sign points down a farm track — vineyard after vineyard, cantina after cantina.
What you get in return is the thing a festival tent can't give you: the producer at their own bench, a barrel behind them, pouring the Nizza and the longer-aged Nizza Riserva and telling you which slope it came from. Bring a driver and take your time; nobody's rushing.
Pick up the map from the Enoteca Regionale di Nizza and check which producers are open each edition at girodelnizza.it. The dates are listed above.
