Golosaria nel Monferrato — Murisen-GO!
Murisengo is the home base of Golosaria nel Monferrato — Paolo Massobrio's spring food, wine and culture roadshow across the Monferrato hills — hosting a day of guided nature walks, art, a producers' market in Piazza Boario and an outdoor dinner under the banner "Murisen-GO!".
Why it's special
The Monferrato edition of Golosaria returns to Murisengo each spring as its anchor town, tying together dozens of comuni and castles around food, landscape and art.
Programme · 2025
"Murisen-GO! Food, art & nature colors in Monferrato", part of the 19th Golosaria nel Monferrato (theme "I colori del Monferrato, tra arte, gusto e paesaggio"), over 30 comuni and five castles involved.
- Start early for the guided walk, then work through the Piazza Boario market in the afternoon and stay for the outdoor dinner.
- It's the hub of a wider Monferrato-wide programme, so pair it with nearby castle stops.
Golosaria is Paolo Massobrio's travelling celebration of good food and the people who make it, and its Monferrato edition makes Murisengo its home. Each spring the town hosts "Murisen-GO!" — a single, full day that threads together a guided walk in the hills, an art show, a producers' market in Piazza Boario and an outdoor dinner, while the wider Golosaria nel Monferrato programme reaches across dozens of comuni and their castles.
The 2025 day, the 19th edition, ran under the theme "the colours of Monferrato, between art, taste and landscape": a morning walk among wild orchids and brunch at the Locanda dell'Angelo, textile art in a former printing works, an afternoon market and the unveiling of a new "Blu di Capra" cheese, then dinner outdoors.
Because Murisengo is the anchor, it's the best single base from which to dip into the regional programme. Check the date each spring — it moves within May — on the Golosaria site.
