Masterclass 2026 (BAart, Agliano Terme)
An autumn run of guided wine masterclasses at BAart in Agliano Terme — nine evening appointments from September to late October, opening with a blind tasting of Syrah from around the world.
Why it's special
Proper sit-down wine education in a wine village: AIS sommeliers lead themed blind tastings — seven glasses and a pairing plate — in a former confraternity turned art-and-wine space, rather than the usual stand-up sagra pour.

Agliano Terme spends most of the year pouring its Barbera; in autumn BAart — the old confraternity on Piazza San Giacomo that doubles as the town's art-and-wine room — turns to teaching it. The Masterclass 2026 run is nine evening appointments from early September to late October, put on with the AIS sommeliers, the ONAF cheese tasters and the Colline Astigiane hotel school.
The opener sets the tone: 'Syrah nel mondo alla cieca', a blind flight of seven Syrah from different corners of the wine world, walked through by AIS sommelier Luca Giordana and finished with a small pairing plate. The later evenings carry their own themes, published closer to each date.
Places are limited and it's booking-only, so write to BAart ahead of time. Sessions and the confirmed dates are in the table above; check the opening night's date with the venue, as the listings disagree by a day.
