Mostra Mercato dell'Antiquariato e dell'Usato — Ovada
Ovada's antiques and second-hand market, held on fixed holidays through the year: over 250 dealers from across northern Italy fill the streets and squares of the old town with furniture, ceramics, glass, old tools, postcards and prints, comics, collectable books and tin boxes.
Why it's special
It falls on public holidays rather than a monthly Sunday, so it suits a day out: Easter Monday, 1 May, 2 June, Ferragosto, the first Sunday of October, All Saints' Day and the Immacolata. The dealers come from all over the north of Italy.
Programme · 2026
- It's an all-day market; come in the morning for the widest choice.
- The two winter dates are 1 November and 8 December.
- Info from the Ovada tourist office, +39 0143 821043 (Pro Loco di Ovada e del Monferrato Ovadese).
Ovada, the small town at the heart of the Ovadese a few minutes from Molare, holds its antiques and second-hand market on a set of fixed holidays through the year rather than on a monthly Sunday: Easter Monday, 1 May, 2 June, 15 August, the first Sunday of October, 1 November and 8 December.
On each of those days more than 250 dealers, from all over northern Italy, set up through the streets and piazzas of the old town. Expect furniture, ceramics and glassware, old farm and craft tools, postcards and prints, costume jewellery, comics, paintings, collectable books and old tin boxes. The market is run by the Pro Loco di Ovada e del Monferrato Ovadese.
Nearby there are monthly antiques markets too: Alessandria's Officina delle Memorie on the first Sunday of the month and Acqui Terme's Mercatino degli Sgaientò on the fourth.
