Why it's special

Casale has been an antiques town since its market started in 1973. This newer fair moves the trade indoors, into 20,000 square metres of exhibition hall close to the centre and the Cittadella, so dealers and collectors can browse in comfort whatever the weather.

Casale Monferrato has made a living from antiques for half a century, and Monferrato Antiquaria is the newest part of it. The organisers of the monthly second-Sunday market under the Mercato Pavia, Mon s.n.c., started this indoor fair in November 2025 at the Palafiere "Riccardo Coppo", the town's 20,000-square-metre exhibition hall.

The rule is easy to remember: it runs in every month that has a fifth Sunday, on that Sunday and the Saturday before. Expect selected dealers in furniture, paintings, prints, glass, porcelain and collectables, set out in a covered hall rather than under awnings in the square.

The hall is a short walk from the historic centre and the Cittadella, with free parking nearby and a bar inside. Combine it with the Castello del Monferrato, or come back for the open-air market on a second Sunday.
