Montemagno sotto le stelle e non solo
A late-summer municipal festival in Montemagno — three evenings of live music, a DJ set and dialect theatre under the stars in and around Piazza San Martino.
Why it's special
It's the town's own end-of-summer weekend: a live band and a DJ night in the square, then a Piedmontese-dialect theatre evening that ties into the long-running regional 'Cuntè Munfrà' rassegna. Small, free and entirely local — the kind of village night you'd only find by being here.
Programme · 2026
Three evenings in and around Piazza San Martino. Free admission.
- Free admission.
- The music nights are in Piazza San Martino in the centre; the Sunday dialect-theatre evening is up in the Santo Stefano district at 21:00.
- It runs alongside the town's other late-summer events, so check the comune site for the year's line-up.
At the end of summer Montemagno Monferrato throws its own three-night party. The action centres on Piazza San Martino, the square below the monumental staircase up to Santa Maria Assunta: a live band opens the weekend, a DJ takes the Saturday, and on the Sunday the festival hands over to theatre in Piedmontese dialect.
That last evening is the Montemagno stop of "Cuntè Munfrà", the long-running regional series celebrating Piedmont's dialect and storytelling — held up in the Santo Stefano district rather than the main square. It's free, unhurried and squarely for the town itself, which is exactly the appeal.
Dates and the full line-up land on the comune's events page each year (see above). Come up early and walk the twelve numbered lanes toward the castle before the music starts.
