Musica in Filarmonica & Casale Classica
Casale's classical season, October to May: chamber and piano recitals in the Accademia Filarmonica's Palazzo Gozzani di Treville, and orchestras and star soloists at the Teatro Municipale.
Why it's special
Two of Casale's finest rooms share one programme of international names: Gidon Kremer and the Kremerata Baltica, a Berliner Philharmoniker string trio, Marc-André Hamelin, Ramin Bahrami with Danilo Rea. Casale Classica, the Teatro Municipale half, is new in 2026/27 and was set up to mark the bicentenary of the Accademia Filarmonica, founded in 1827.

Casale has two rooms built for music, and from October to May they share a single programme. Musica in Filarmonica is the Accademia Filarmonica's own season of chamber and piano recitals, held in its home at Palazzo Gozzani di Treville. Casale Classica is new for 2026/27. It brings orchestras and big-name soloists back to the nineteenth-century Teatro Municipale on Piazza Castello, and it was set up to mark two hundred years since the academy was founded in 1827.
The first season opens with Gidon Kremer and the Kremerata Baltica and closes in May with Alexander Lonquich. In between come a Berliner Philharmoniker string trio, Ramin Bahrami and Danilo Rea playing Bach their two different ways, a Strauss-waltz concert just before Christmas, the Carlo Felice orchestra from Genoa, and Marc-André Hamelin. The Filarmonica dates are smaller and closer: one pianist or a duo, usually on a Friday evening.
Most concerts start at 21:00 and a few Sunday ones at 17:30. The two halls are a short walk apart in the old centre, so a concert fits easily after an afternoon at the Castello del Monferrato and dinner in town.
