Colcavagno is one of the three old comuni that merged in 1998 to form Montiglio Monferrato, and it keeps a busy calendar of its own. In early summer it holds the carpionata del trebbiatore, and in autumn 'Non solo nocciole', a food day whose name means 'not just hazelnuts'.
Little about the programme is published online. The Comune lists it as a food event, held on Sunday 28 September in 2025, and the town's 2026 heritage guide places it in October alongside the Fiera Nazionale del Tartufo. Hazelnuts are part of the local table here: hazelnut cake (torta di nocciole) is on the Pro Loco's truffle-fair menu. Expect a village-scale event, and check the local listings for the date and menu.
