Stagione Teatrale del Teatro Civico di Moncalvo
Moncalvo's winter theatre season at the Teatro Civico: a dozen evenings and Sunday afternoons of prose, comedy, dance and music from late November to April, programmed with the regional circuit Piemonte dal Vivo.
Why it's special
A small hill town puts actors from national theatre and television on its stage: the 2026–27 season brings Filippo Nigro, Matthias Martelli's Dario Fo, and Giulio Scarpati with Amanda Sandrelli, alongside dance companies and new writing. The season is run by the Comune with Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo and Arte & Tecnica, within the 'Le Colline dei Teatri' project.

From late November to April the Teatro Civico in Moncalvo runs a proper winter season of prose, comedy, dance and music. The Comune programmes it with Fondazione Piemonte dal Vivo, the regional circuit for theatre, dance and music, and the theatre association Arte & Tecnica, which handles subscriptions and bookings. Subscribers from the previous season get first refusal on their seats each autumn.
In 2026–27 the shows are on Friday evenings at nine and on Sunday afternoons. Seven make up the subscription and five more are sold separately. The theatre is on Piazza Garibaldi, and seats are booked through the Drogheria Broda on the same square.
This is a separate thing from the October Stagione di Teatro in Lingua Piemontese, the dialect comedies held in the same theatre. The two follow on from each other, and the prose season also overlaps with the Fiera del Bue Grasso week at the start of December. This season's shows are listed above.
