The Teatro Comunale Dino Crocco is Ovada's municipal theatre, on Corso Martiri della Libertà in the town centre, a few minutes' drive from Molare. Its season runs from late October to March and is put together in collaboration with Piemonte dal Vivo, the regional theatre circuit.
The core is an eight-show subscription of prose and dance. Around it the theatre adds stand-up comedy nights, talks, theatre for children and a few shows that run into April. Tickets are sold online, at the box office on Saturday mornings and on show nights, and at a bookshop in town.
For a night out in the Ovadese in winter, pair a show with dinner in the old town. In November the same streets host Vi.Ta – Vino e Tartufi.
