Truffle Hunting with Tasting at Hic et Nunc
A Sunday-morning truffle hunt in the Monferrato woods with the Hic et Nunc winery near Vignale, followed by a tour of the glass cellar and four of its wines with a truffle tasting board.
Why it's special
You go out with a truffle hunter and his dog in the woods in the middle of the white-truffle season, then come back to a winery you can see straight through for a tasting built around truffle: polenta, truffle butter, Castelmagno and the estate's Cortese, Grignolino and rosé sparkling wine.
Programme · 2026
One morning slot, meeting at the winery; the group is taken to the truffle grounds.
- €90 a head in 2026, booked and paid on the winery's website (limited places), or ask on +39 0142 67 01 65 / info@cantina-hicetnunc.it.
- Wear comfortable clothes and waterproof shoes or boots and bring a spare pair: the woods are muddy in November.
- Pets are not allowed in the cellar or tasting room.
Truffle Hunting with Tasting is a November morning out with Cantina Hic et Nunc, the winery in the vineyards outside Vignale Monferrato. The group meets at the winery and is taken into the nearby woods with a truffle hunter and his dog, to watch how white truffles are found in the middle of the season.
Back at the winery there is a guided tour of the glass-walled cellar and a tasting of four of the estate's wines, from a rosé sparkling wine to its Grignolino, served with a board of local food built around truffle. The whole morning takes about four hours.
It is a fixed-date event with limited places, booked online in advance; this year's date and price are in the editions table above. The winery's everyday tastings and cellar tours run year-round. If you want a bigger truffle day, the Fiera del Tartufo Bianco in Valle Ghenza at nearby Cella Monte is the weekend before.
