Coppo's cellars start at street level in Canelli, then drop into tufa caves carved deep under the town, some of the galleries well over a century old. The house made its name on powerful Barbera-based reds — the Nizza DOCG 'Pomorosso' above all — with a refined Chardonnay, 'Monteriolo', and traditional-method sparkling wines including Alta Langa alongside.

Visits run by reservation, most days including weekends, with several tasting formulas to pick from. Visitors describe an unhurried, genuinely informative walk through the cellars and caves with knowledgeable guides, then a well-run tasting that moves from the sparkling wines through to the serious reds — and the guides field questions happily in both Italian and English.
