Acqui & Sapori — Mostra Regionale del Tartufo

Acqui's big late-November truffle weekend: the regional white-truffle exhibition fills the historic centre with truffle hunters, some forty producer stalls and the territory's excellences — Brachetto d'Acqui, Robiola di Roccaverano, honey, hazelnuts and Monferrato cheeses.

Why it's special

The Mostra Regionale del Tartufo is Acqui's flagship autumn food event, over twenty editions in — a two-day showcase where local trifolao show and sell the white truffle of Monferrato alongside the town's best wine and cheese, with tastings, a truffle-dog hunting demonstration and the 'Trifola d'Aich' competition.

Programme · 2025

22–23 November 2025
21st edition

A tip
  • Come hungry and early — the good truffles and the best producer stalls go fast.
  • The central hub is around the Seminario Maggiore / Centro Congressi in the old town; combine it with a soak of atmosphere at La Bollente a few minutes' walk away.

Late November is truffle time in Acqui, and the Mostra Regionale del Tartufo — everyone calls it Acqui & Sapori — is the town's biggest food weekend of the autumn. For two days the historic centre fills with local trifolao showing and selling the white truffle of Monferrato, around forty producer stalls, and a roll-call of the territory's excellences: Brachetto d'Acqui DOCG, Robiola di Roccaverano, honey, hazelnuts, Monferrato cheeses and cured meats.

It isn't just a market. Recent editions have run an olfactory truffle experience at the Archaeological Museum, a truffle-hunting competition with dogs in the Castello dei Paleologi park, and the "Trifola d'Aich" prize for the finest truffle brought in. The 2025 edition — the 21st — was held on 22–23 November around the Seminario Maggiore; the 22nd is expected on a late-November weekend in 2026 (check the comune calendar for the dates). Pair it with a walk to La Bollente and the arcades, and see Acqui Terme for the rest of the town.
