After Harvest — c'è fermento in borgata!
Once the grapes are in, Agliano Terme opens its cellars on three October Sundays — start at BAart, then walk, drive or cycle out to the wineries, tasting three growers' wines paired with autumn dishes.
Why it's special
It's the post-harvest counterpart to the summer 'Rossa di Sera' dinners: the whole village of Agliano turns into a self-guided cellar crawl, with the town's restaurants and the hotel school cooking the pairings.
Programme · 2026
Three post-harvest Sundays, 11:00–16:00, gathering at BAart (Piazza San Giacomo) before heading out to the wineries. Each Sunday: taste the wines of three different Agliano Terme cellars, reached on foot, by car or by bike. Pairings cooked by Agliano Terme restaurants with the AFP Colline Astigiane hotel school.
- Each Sunday runs 11am–4pm, gathering at [BAart](/villages/agliano-terme) on Piazza San Giacomo before you set off to the cellars on foot, by car or by bike.
- Info and the day's producer list from infoagliano@gmail.com or barbera-agliano.com.
When the harvest is finished the cellars have something to show, and Agliano Terme makes an afternoon of it. On three October Sundays 'After Harvest' turns the whole village into a self-guided cellar crawl: you gather at BAart on Piazza San Giacomo, pick up the day's route, and set out — on foot, by car or by bike — to three of the town's wineries.
At each stop it's the grower's own wines, paired with autumn dishes cooked by Agliano's restaurants together with the Colline Astigiane hotel school. It's the cooler-weather companion to the summer 'Rossa di Sera' vineyard dinners of Appuntamenti con la Rossa — same producers, same Barbera country, but now with the fermentation tanks working behind the tasting.
Each Sunday runs late morning into the afternoon; the producer line-up for each date comes from Barbera Agliano. Dates above.
