Late each spring, Cerrina Monferrato opens its courtyards for Calici in Cortile — a wine walk rather than a festival ground. You move from cortile to cortile with a glass, tasting wines and Monferrato food along the way, with live music through the streets of the village. The comune runs it over a weekend at the turn of May and June.
It's an evening's wander made to be taken slowly: the courtyards are the venues, the streets link them, and the food stands keep pace with the wine. Wear comfortable shoes.
It sits alongside Cerrina's food sagre — the June Sagra dell'Agnolotto with the San Giovanni patronal feast and the late-August Sagra del Fritto Misto at Montaldo — as the village's wine evening. Dates come from the Comune di Cerrina Monferrato; check before you come.
